How far in advance should I book a kids party entertainer?
Book your entertainer 3–6 weeks ahead for the best chance of locking in your preferred weekend date and time. For school holidays and the December rush, aim for 6–8 weeks. And if your party is sooner than that — call anyway, because gaps come up.
Weekend slots are the first to go, especially Saturday mornings and early afternoons when most kids parties happen. The earlier you reach out, the more choice you have over your exact time.
When do entertainers get booked out?
- Saturdays and Sundays — the core party days, booked first.
- School holidays — demand spikes across the whole period.
- November–December — Christmas parties, family fun days and end-of-year events fill the calendar fast.
What if my party is only a week away?
Don't assume it's too late. Cancellations and gaps in the schedule happen regularly, and a quick phone call is the fastest way to find out if your date is free. Picco services Ballarat, Melbourne and Geelong — call 0432 622 157 and we'll check availability on the spot.
What do I need to know before I book?
Have these handy when you call or fill in the enquiry form: your event date and time, the venue or suburb, the rough number and ages of the kids, and which services you're interested in. That lets Picco give you an accurate quote straight away. See what's included in a package or the full Ballarat party guide.
